Minami Sushi Restaurant Review

Minami is, by far, best place for sushi in Dunedin (New Zealand). This sushi restaurant is located on Stuart Street just below the Octagon.

I eat here at least once a week. The combination of a great friendly environment and good quality ingredients makes this one of my favorite places to eat in town (not just sushi).

The straight forward salmon sushi is great! The California Roll sushi is also good. I also recommend their sashimi don, karage bento and crispie chicken sushi.

The price is good, the atmosphere is great and the staff are really friendly. The restaurant has expanded in recent years and now has two seating options on Stuart Street and "Yuki" down around the corner under the restaurant which is a great Japanese pub, serving all sorts of goodies including Japanese beers and wines. I highly recommend the plum wine.

Overall I give Minami a 9 out of 10. If you live in Dunedin or just passing through, its definitely worth a stop.
